Phone as participant in helmet BT comms

Most helmet intercom systems (Sena, uclear etc) can talk to each other
(or are supposed to) via BT even between different brands

But is it possible to use a normal phone (maybe with a special app)
as one 'station' in such a BT group? So that someone in a
car can participate in talking to the riders nearby (without
using a phone-call)?

ideally for Android and iOS.

I see there is an 'Intercom for Android' app but that does not
seem to be the same (it seems to be intended to avoid needing
a BT helmet comm unit in the first place)

Thanks

Yes, but...

This means, that at least one (or maybe all?) of the riders must run the
BTTalk.app on his (their?) phone(s), and be the link between the rider
group (connected by bluetooth) and the car driver who also must run the
BTTalk.app. The two phones need a data internet connection, but no
phone-call.

It is not possible to directly connect a phone in a car via bluetooth to
the rider group.

Thanks. that is a small step to what is intended but may be possible.

Thanks. since both are BT capable one would think such a function (BT
profile?) would exist

You won't find another solution, except using another helmet intercom
system for the car driver.

Phone bluetooth is intended for short range and energy saving, and thus
the antennas and drivers are not capable to cover more than a few
meters. Whereas helmet intercom can stretch a few hundred meters.
Totally different...
